BATTLE OF SURABAYA

Today's blog topic is about the outline of the recount text : Battle of Surabaya.
In my previous blog, i already told you about the definition of recount text, the purposes of recount text, and also the generic structures of recount text.
What are the generic structures of a recount text? the generic structures are :
1. Orientation
tells who was involved, what happened, where the events took place, and when it happened
2. Series of events
tells what happened in a chronological sequence
3. Reorientation
Consists of optional closure or personal comments of events/ending
Battle of Surabayas's text structures
1. Orientation
The bloody battle took place in 1945 in Surabaya
2. Series of events
1. The governor of Java and Brigadier Mallaby made an agreement
2. Indonesians refused to surrender their weaponry to British army.
3. There were misunderstanding between British troops in Jakarta and those in Surabaya, under the command of Brigadier A.W.S. Mallaby
4. Leaflets were dropped all over Surabaya by a British plane from Jakarta.
5. The Indonesians felt betrayed.
6. Brigadier Mallaby was killed.
7. British army began to advance into surabaya with cover with both naval and air bombardment.
8. The battle lasted three weeks.
9. Many Indonesians died in the battle.
3. Reorientation
The Battle of Surabaya awakened Indonesian and International people to support the Indonesian national revolution
